In 1993, Prof Leonie Scholtz started a radiology practice in the Pretoria Heart Hospital. A year later, she was joined by the first of many partners, Dr Jacques de Korte (1994). Dr Gerda Lourens, an expert in cardiovascular ultrasound, joined the team and thus became the first sonographer in the practice and Me Susan van Deventer was our first Head Radiographer.

Dr Conrad van der Merwe joined as partner in 1996 and Drs Fourie and Leona van Wyngaard in 2002. Partners were added at various times in the years that followed. Drs Andre du Plessis in 2010;

Dr Masefela Mabliletsa in 2013; Dr Willie Cilliers in 2016; Professor Coert de Vries in 2017; Dr Nantes Combrink in 2018 and Dr Jakes Moller in 2020.

Currently the practice has 13 radiologists, which includes all the partners, as well as a few part-time assistants – and employs 231 staff members of which 10 are sonographers.
